Hiding itself in a fairly extensive road with up and down slope, Mot Thuo seens to lead the way to somewhere else, eliminating all of the old busy days in the existing space. Perhaps attracting the customers’ eyes first right when they step inside is a lake full of natural color located exactly in the middle.
Floating water-ferns, beautiful flowers and lovely butterfly are likely to mix themselves in a serene contemplative space with disctinctive classic feature. Not only that, Mot Thuo is just like a party gathering all color of tree leaves aound the lake. The cool gree around the shop seems to cover ‘that day’ which is deep, ancient, skeptical in a concept "today" too modern.
This café overwhelms the colors of Saigon in 60-73, stressing the student class, student days, for those with nostalgia of the old pace of Saigon. Not only refining the common space, the café also show its interests in each item displayed around the bar as the momento with both chronological and mental value. Obviously, the customers show their excitement about the ancient chicken-shaped iron or famous badges of the schools in Saigon.They can also see a more vibrant lifestyle of the old Saigon through newspaper pages shown on pillars and walls, creating a very pristine time.
It seems that Mot Thuo is not merely a delivery of ideas of time but has in itself the owner’s thoughfulness which allows him to share feelings and his passion for the souls speaking the same language. Greatness recorded here is in decorative colors changed each month; therefore, customers will find it brandnew although sitting in the same corner.
Besides, the café hosts nostalgia program about the schools in Saigon monthly. Diversified dishes and rich drinks for breakfast and office lunch are offered.
