Uncle Ho’s stilt house |West Lake – Truc Bach Lake |Bach Ma temple | Ha Noi ancient citadel

Uncle Ho’s stilt house

In a large garden locating behind the Uncle Ho’s Relic Area there is a small, narrow road covered by pebbles. Two sides of its have some mango trees. Taking this road, we arrive at a little, ordinary and simple stilt house hiding vaguely from the shade of plants, surrounded by dam but fence. The main door is made from many branches of trees. Actually, that is where Uncle Ho used to live and work with a time from May 17th 1958 to the day he passed away.

Under floor is the place where Uncle Ho had meetings with Political Ministry. In Upper floor has two small rooms, one is chosen to be a working place and one is the bed room with some simple things. Outside the house, there is a pond in which he bred fish, at two sides of its, many kinds of flower are in bloom all year.

In reality, when people from all over the country as well as foreigners once have a chance to arrive at Hanoi capital, they have a wish to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Uncle Ho’s stilt house and take a walk in historical Ba Dinh square.

The garden of this house is mature with many kinds of valuable fruit and plants coming from many places. For instance, star apple plant is a present of South region inhabitants in 1954. Besides, there are Phuc Trach, Bien Hoa, Me Linh pomelos, hai Hung, Xuan Mai, Van Du, Xa Doai oranges, Huong Can, Ly Nhan mandarin, Thien Phien, Ngoc Ho, song mai Dong My apples, Tien Dien persimmon and also, Tien Dien is Nguyen Du’s hometown. Moreover, there are some foreign fruit like ngan hoa, cay but, Carribian King Areca plant.
